Magpie for Twitter

A calmer, more intentional way to read x.com — independent, private, on-device.

Support

Need help or want to report a bug? Email inbox@bldr.ch. When reporting a problem, the version number from the app's Settings → About screen helps a lot.

How do I sign in?

Magpie has no account of its own. You sign in through x.com's own standard web login, exactly as you would in Safari. Magpie never sees or stores your password.

Is Magpie made by Twitter / X?

No. Magpie is an independent app and is not affiliated with X Corp. It simply gives you a focused, decluttered way to view x.com in a web view.

How do I change what's hidden or reset my preferences?

Tap the Magpie button (bottom-left) → Settings. The Declutter Experience drawer controls what's hidden, and Data Management lets you reset preferences or clear website data. All settings live on your device.

Privacy Policy

Short version: Magpie collects nothing. There is no Magpie account, no server, and no analytics.

Magpie for Twitter ("Magpie", "the app") is a native app that displays x.com in a web view with on-device reading controls. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Information we collect

None. Magpie does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Specifically:

Your content and your X/Twitter account

When you use Magpie you are browsing x.com directly in the app's web view. Your interactions with x.com (the posts you see, your logged-in session, cookies) are governed by X Corp's own privacy policy and terms, not by Magpie. Magpie does not intercept, log, or copy that content; it only restyles what is already on the page on your device.

On-device data

App settings and optional diagnostic logs are stored locally on your device (and in your device's own encrypted backups if you use them). You can reset preferences or clear the web view's data at any time from Settings → Data Management. Deleting the app removes this local data.

Children

Magpie is not directed to children and is rated 17+ because it displays unfiltered third-party social-media content from x.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
